After a very wet ride down from North Lincolnshire, I felt at last  I'm now on my way.

Thursday 23/08/2007: Second night stop at Camping Haide in the Neckar valley east of Heidelberg. Click for the website

Camping Haide is a very well maintained campsite with lodges and a bunkhouse, so you don't have to camp.

Friday 24/08/2007: Third night stop at the excellent campsite, Grafenlehen at Schönau am Königsee.  Click for the website.

The food in the campsite restaurant was very good.

The scenery in Berchtesgaden was breathtaking.

The Grossglockner pass.  You can pay in the information office instead of searching for the right change at the toll booth.

The roads are well surfaced and free of potholes, bikers heaven.

Road 111 looking east towards Hermagor (Austria).  The mountains to the right are on the border with Slovenia. Yes, the road surface is as good as it looks.
